Xerox kick-starts `Momentum 2006`

channel engagement programme called 'Momentum 2006' as an initiative to strengthen
its relationship with the channel community. The month-long (October14-November14)
channel Programme is aimed at forging a strong relationship with the channel

accelerate office product sales simultaneously.

The event will be hosted in 15 cities altogether covering all the key markets in
India covering Kolkata, Chennai, Trivandrum, Lucknow, Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad,
Mumbai, Jaipur, Nasik, Ahmedabad, Trissur, Kottayam, Kochi and Indore.

'Momentum 2006' has been designed to serve as a platform to educate channel partners
and resellers on the competitive advantage of Xerox Office products and offer them
tools to sell more efficiently and ensure profitable returns. It will offer product
training, access to Xerox Partner Portal, incentives and certification to sell
high-end multi-functional products. In addition, it will enable the channel partners
to sell extended service packages, offer sales leads/referrals and provide joint
marketing support.

On the event held in Kolkata, Xerox showed a presentation highlighting Xerox\'s
renewed focus on the IT hardware arena and the company\'s latest way of addressing
the channel business for all the office products and supplies. The sub-distributors
also floated a few attractive on the spot schemes on the occasion.

As Marketing Manager, Channel Programs, Xerox India, Jose Leon said, \"We are
focusing hard on the SMB and SME market segment as it is considered to be one of the
crucial market segments and launched a new range of products targeted at this
segment. On the channel front, we are concentrating on the T3 partners along with
the T1 and T2 partners as well so all the programmes run by the company percolates
deep down the whole channel.\"

The company is also keen on increasing the retail presence throughout the country
and is ready to extend support to all the interested partners, be it mono-brand
retail or a multi-brand one. Xerox currently has 180 plus mono-brand and 1400 plus
multi-brand retail partners throughout the country, who are doing business with
Xerox on a continuous basis.

As far as the market growth is concerned Xerox wants to grow on par with the overall
market growth.
